About Me

My Background & Focus

I’m a designer with a technical background who leads by owning complex problems—bringing clarity to ambiguity, aligning cross-functional teams, and driving solutions through to production.

Over the past 11+ years, I’ve delivered design solutions across startups and global automotive organizations, including maps and navigation, driver displays shaped by safety and regulatory requirements, and advanced driver assistance systems. I’ve worked in ambiguous, early-stage environments at companies like Rivian and Scout—defining products from the ground up—as well as in large organizations like Ford and Stellantis, where driving alignment is critical to shipping at scale.

My Approach

  1. See the problem firsthand — immerse myself in the real-world context
  2. Break problems into parts — simplify complexity into actionable pieces
  3. Benchmark intentionally — evaluate existing solutions to understand what works, what doesn’t, and why
  4. Synthesize and stage — combine the best of what exists with new, innovative elements, while shaping solutions that can realistically be built and delivered incrementally
  5. Communicate clearly — articulate problems, tradeoffs, and solutions to stakeholders
  6. Drive alignment — bring cross-functional teams to shared clarity and direction
  7. Validate rigorously — leverage my engineering background to ensure solutions hold up in practice

What I Bring

  1. Automotive expertise (11+ years) — across physical, in-vehicle, and mobile experiences
  2. EV specialization (7+ years) — plus personal ownership perspective
  3. Interaction design & design systems leadership — defining interaction models and building scalable UI frameworks across products
  4. Innovation track record — 19 issued + 12 pending patents
  5. Technical fluency — self-taught in Swift and Python to prototype and collaborate more effectively

What Drives Me

Designing solutions I know can be built—grounded in a strong understanding of technical constraints and real-world implementation.

What I'm Looking For

A Staff UX Designer role in the electric vehicle space where I can shape end-to-end experiences, influence product direction, and deliver thoughtful, well-executed solutions that make a real difference for drivers.
